I've always loved business. I still remember taking business studies in Grade 8 and being surprised by how natural it felt. At the same time, I was also a creative person, so when it came time to choose a path, I followed that side of myself first and completed a Fine Arts degree.

But business was always there in the background.

After graduation, I went to work for my dad, who was starting his own business and needed help with the admin side of things. That's where I first found my way into bookkeeping, and I quickly realized I genuinely enjoyed it.

Later, when I started my own business, I found myself just as interested in the numbers as I was in the work itself. I loved seeing what the numbers could tell me, where money was coming from, where it was going, and what needed to shift so the business could grow in a healthy way.

Eventually, I began coaching women in business, and I noticed the same thing coming up again and again: most business owners weren't looking at their books until tax time.

And I get it.

When you're focused on your clients, your services, and doing the work you love, bookkeeping can feel easy to put off. But not knowing your numbers can have a real impact.

I started Willow Bookkeeping because I don't just want to keep your books organized. I want to help you understand what's actually happening in your business, so you can make clear, confident decisions and build something that truly works.

The name Willow has a special meaning for me.

First, it honours one of my favourite co-workers from the years I spent building my business: one of my black Labradors, Willow, who was always by my side.

And second, a willow branch bends without breaking. That's how I think about business finances, too. They need to be flexible, resilient, and strong enough to support you through different seasons.

At Willow Bookkeeping, my goal is to help small business owners feel more confident, informed, and supported when it comes to their numbers.
